Day 2

Wow, we saw lots of desolate places yesterday between Arizona and new mexico. We went through a couple of national forests, which was cool.

Finally arrived at Nathaniel's bother's house around 5. The weather and scenery are beautiful out here, and it is awesome being in a place I've never been before.

Had a nice dinner with Nathaniel's mom, brother, and brother's girlfriend, Lisa, and enjoyed our surroundings.

And of course, Nathaniel had to juggle :)

Day 1

Saturday, April 28...

Finally got on the road around 6. Nathaniel had a gig at the SDSU Greenfest. He had to carry and manipulate a giant fairy puppet. I had to frolick.... Err... Walk around with a tutu and fairy wings... As you can imagine, that was interesting.

After a pit stop at lestats for chai and a vegan lemon bar, we plowed straight through to Arizona. Got pulled over for inspection at the border patrol checkpoint because the sniff dog was going crazy when the van pulled up. Thankfully, we were let go after a quick inspection.
The weather was beautiful and it was nice to wear a tanktop at 11pm and not be cold.

Ended up pulling off to a remote dirt road to sleep... To the sound of the nearby train tracks... Which apparently was often frequented. Thankfully it was pretty warm out, and for the first time in my history of sleeping in the van, I wasn't cold.

Today is the day.. Nathaniel and I are leaving around 5pm for a road trip to New Mexico to visit his brother and Mom. I've never been to New Mexico, let alone through the entire state of Arizona... In this blog, I'll document our trip, start to finish.
